The EN 12209 Escape Mortise Lock is a reliable euro profile escape mortise lock designed for classroom doors, office doors, corridor doors, apartment entrance doors, healthcare doors, and other commercial building applications requiring controlled entry and permanent free egress. The inside lever always remains active for single-action escape and immediate exit, while the outside lever is controlled by key and euro profile cylinder for secure access control. A key advantage of this commercial mortise lock is its field-configurable design: the latchbolt can be easily reversed for left-hand or right-hand doors, and the escape function can also be switched during installation, giving installers greater flexibility, faster setup, and reduced inventory complexity.
